When compared to the Silhouette® shade by Hunter Douglas®, our
Shangri-La shades offer similar styling and function for a much
lower price. Combining the softness of a cellular shade, the
simplicity of a roller shade, and the functionality of a horizontal
blind, our Shangri-La soft horizontal shades offer unparalleled beauty
and performance. Manufactured by a Hunter Douglas® company, our
Shangri-La shades feature two-inch horizontal fabric vanes that float
between two layers of soft, knitted fabric sheers revealing a veiled
view to the outside when open and full privacy when closed. The vanes
glide effortlessly from open to closed to completely out of sight when
fully raised, disappearing into the color-coordinated headrail. The
Shangri-La can be partially raised with the vanes in the open
"view-through" position so you can enjoy an afternoon breeze
without sacrificing your view to the outside.
Like the Silhouette®, inside mounted Shangri-La shade fabric will be
1 1/8" narrower (5/8" on the lift cord side and 1/2" on
the opposite side) than the headrail. Therefore on all inside mounts
you will have a possible light gap on the sides unless there is a
window frame, trim, or drapery covering this space. On outside mounted
shades the fabric will be 3/4" narrower (7/16" on the lift
cord side and 5/16" on the opposite side) than the headrail. In
addition on an outside mount the headrail will measure 3/16" more
than the ordered width. (see measuring).
You may compensate for the
fabric deduction by adding to your width measurement for an outside
mount, keeping in mind that the headrail will measure 3/16" wider
than the ordered width.
